Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a hands-on Material Handler to segregate and package hazardous materials for transport. You will assist with inventory storage and operate trucks and equipment to move containers within storage and treatment areas.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing on uneven surfaces, and wearing PPE. The job is performed outdoors in all conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled areas, with comprehensive benefits and union considerations.

Qualifications

• Repetitively lift and carry up to 50 pounds during the shift.
• Stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Good vision to read labels and documentation; depth perception for forklift tasks.
• Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
• Work outdoors in all climates and indoors in non-climate-controlled areas.
• Willingness to wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Segregate and package material for transport.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials per regulations, policies, practices and procedures.
• Operate trucks and other mobile equipment to move containers to and from storage and treatment areas and to load/unload trailers.
• Complete required documentation accurately, timely and legibly in accordance with applicable regulations and customer policies, practices and procedures.
• Perform other reasonable related tasks as assigned by management.
