Job summary

Clean Harbors in North Amityville, NY seeks a Field Services Technician I to support hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, and equipment decontamination in field operations. You will handle hazardous materials, operate equipment, and follow strict safety protocols across diverse sites.

Training is provided (two-week Academy, paid) with travel covered by the company and per diem. This role may require on-call emergency response and extended shifts at times.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from field sites.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job duties.
• Emergency on-call duties with potential extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following policies and procedures.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand tools and powered tools.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
• Handle hazardous materials in accordance with regulations and PPE requirements.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• On-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
