Job summary

Intertek CEA seeks an Engineer-Hazardous Locations to join the Electrical team in Plano, TX. You will evaluate product safety for Hazardous (Classified) Locations, set up and test equipment, and report results to clients and management.

Travel up to 75% is expected as projects require field work across multiple sites. Ideal candidates have an engineering degree, FE/EIT credentials, and experience with NEC/UL/CSA/IEC standards; strong communication and organization skills are essential in a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• FE/EIT certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Class/ Division schemes and NEC articles.
• Demonstrated experience with safety standards (ANSI/UL/CSA/EN/IEC).
• Ability to travel up to 75% as required.

Responsibilities

• Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards for the EUT.
• Validate project scope and sample applicability.
• Set up, operate, and repair EUT as needed.
• Perform testing of products per standards.
• Develop test plans and complete reports for reviewers.
• Communicate status and results to clients and management.
• Provide ongoing client support as needed.
