Job summary

Federal Express Corporation seeks a dedicated station operations team member to safely handle dangerous goods and ensure accurate paperwork for shipping. You will support clerical tasks, prepare manifests, and monitor compliance with FedEx policies and regulations.

The role involves visual inspection of hazardous goods, organizing shipments, and basic data entry in office systems. Evening shifts (approx. 3pm–9pm) are available, with training provided for all required hazardous materials courses.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete required training for dangerous goods, cleanup, FedEx waste and related topics
• General business skills including typing, data entry and use of office equipment
• Microsoft Office and web-based applications proficiency
• English reading/writing/comprehension to ensure regulatory compliance
• Customer service skills to respond effectively and professionally
• Strong verbal and written communication with management
• Time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Determine acceptability of declared dangerous goods packages via visual inspection and checklist/compliance app
• Monitor packages for dangerous goods and open safe shipments with manager approval
• Sort packages by destination and compile transport lists
• Pull and organize air bills, declarations and shipping papers; prepare dangerous goods paperwork
• Monitor handling of dangerous goods and ensure compliance with laws and FedEx policy
• Maintain dangerous goods manuals, supplies, and regulatory references
• Assist with cleanup and spills and coordinate with safety departments
• Compile reports for damaged hazardous materials and loss events
• Provide clerical support and data entry across systems
• Serve as frontline customer service to resolve inquiries and issues
