Job summary

Nordic PCL Construction, Inc. in Hawaii seeks a Field Engineer Intern to support the Hawaii district across multiple project sites, including Honolulu, Kailua-Kona, Kihei, and Lihue.

The role runs for 3–4 months starting May 2027, offering real project exposure and hands-on learning in a dynamic construction environment. You will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to develop core construction skills while contributing to ongoing projects and document controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field; GPA 3.0+.
• Clear verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors.
• Willingness to pursue a career in the construction industry after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project document controls and procedures.
• Assist with updating drawings and specifications.
• Assist with inventorying and warehousing of materials and equipment as well as expediting material orders.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs as directed.
• Assist with third-party inspections and site reviews.
• Assist in tracking time, materials, and equipment.
• Liaise with subcontractors, field crews, engineers, and consultants on field details.
• Other duties as required.
