Job summary

Nordic PCL Construction, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer Intern to join our Hawaii district. You will gain hands-on experience on real projects, support document controls, drawings updates, and material logistics while learning from our construction professionals.

This internship spans 3 or 4 months starting May 2027 across Honolulu, Kailua-Kona, Kihei, or Lihue. Eligible students pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, construction management, or related fields with a minimum

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Desire to pursue a career in construction after graduation.
• Ability to learn/apply basic construction principles to problem solve.
• Clear verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors.
• Employment contingent upon passing a third-party substance abuse test.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining project document controls and procedures.
• Assisting with updating drawings and specifications.
• Assisting with inventorying and warehousing of materials and equipment and expediting material orders.
• Preparing quantity takeoffs as directed.
• Assisting with third-party inspections and site reviews.
• Assisting in tracking time, materials, and equipment.
• Liaising with subcontractors, field crews, engineers, and consultants on field details.
• Other duties as required.
