Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America seeks a quarry operator to safely run haul trucks and support equipment, moving aggregate materials across the site. You will inspect equipment, report maintenance or safety concerns promptly, and assist with loading, dumping, stockpiling, and housekeeping.

The role requires a strong safety mindset, the ability to work outdoors, and flexibility to collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment. Pre-employment screening applies.

What You'll Be Doing

Operate haul trucks and support equipment to safely transport aggregate materials throughout the quarry.

Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

Support daily production activities by assisting with loading, dumping, stockpiling, and site housekeeping.

Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and operational standards.

Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient quarry operations and achieve production goals.

What Are We Looking For

Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in an industrial, mining, construction, or similar environment.

Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe operating practices.

Ability to perform equipment inspections, identify concerns, and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

Dependable work ethic with the flexibility to support changing operational needs and schedules.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.




• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
