Job summary

Heidelberg Materials NE LLC is seeking a Safety‑minded Heavy Equipment Operator to operate haul trucks and support onsite production. You will perform pre/post operation inspections, adhere to strict safety procedures, and maintain clean work areas while documenting activities.

Team communication and independent work will be essential as you adapt to changing production needs. Role emphasizes safety, reliability, and mechanical awareness to quickly identify equipment issues.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate haul trucks/unit equipment safely and efficiently to transport materials within the site
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Follow all safety procedures, site policies, and regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support production goals
• Maintain clean work areas and accurately complete required documentation

• Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in an industrial or similar setting
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures
• Mechanical awareness with the ability to identify equipment issues

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
