Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Midwest Agg, Inc. is seeking a haul operator to safely operate haul units and transport aggregate materials throughout the quarry.

You will perform pre-operational inspections, report issues promptly, and follow schedules and routes to support efficient quarry operations. We value safety, adherence to procedures, and strong teamwork as you maintain compliance with environmental and operational standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

Safely operate haul units to transport aggregate materials throughout the quarry. Perform pre-operational inspections and report equipment issues promptly. Follow production schedules and haul routes to support efficient quarry operations. Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational procedures. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and productive operations.

What Are We Looking For

Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy mobile equipment in an industrial environment. Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and communicate equipment concerns. Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced production setting. Dependable work habits with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing operational needs.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
