Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America in New York is seeking a reliable haul truck operator to move materials across a busy site and support production. You will perform pre-use inspections and help maintain smooth material flow while adhering to safety rules.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and clear communication with crew. Outdoor work in varying weather is expected as part of Heidelberg Materials’ aggregates operation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate haul trucks safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the site
• Inspect equipment before use and report any issues promptly
• Support production by maintaining consistent material flow between loading and dumping areas
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily operations

• Effective teamwork and communication skills in a fast‑paced environment
• Reliability, attention to detail, and readiness to learn site processes

Conditions of Employment: Successful candidate must submit to post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment: Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
