The Shelly Company, a CRH company, seeks an experienced equipment operator to drive trucks and operate heavy machinery at our Ohio operations. You may also operate a crusher under supervision and perform routine maintenance as needed.

Although NO CDL is required to operate this vehicle, the truck you will drive has the capacity of approximately 35 (or more) tons, which you will use to transport materials. You may also operate heavy equipment, including a crusher, under the direction of a supervisor.
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
To execute this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Less than or equal to a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior Heavy Equipment experience, including Crushing Operation helpful.
Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position: Welding Gloves, Hard Hat, Hearing Protection, Padlocks for Lockout/Tagout, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, use of Seatbelt and harnesses when required.
Ability to communicate sufficiently to convey and exchange ideas and give and receive detailed verbal instructions.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional variables.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, climb, or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee must regularly lift and/or move around 25 pounds and may also have to move over 50 pounds with equipment assistance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to wet, humid condition airborne particles, and extreme heat or cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may require protective equipment.
