Role Description

Holcim US, a major supplier of construction materials, seeks a Haul Truck Driver at the New Kent, VA Quarry. Responsibilities include operating trucks, loading/unloading materials, maintaining safety and maintenance schedules, and supporting plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Haul materials, supplies, and equipment safely between locations.
2. Load and unload equipment, ensuring safe load capacities.
3. Maintain logs, operate communication devices, and complete paperwork.
4. Perform safety checks, oil/water checks, and follow hauling/dumping instructions.
5. Adhere to environmental, health, and safety policies, supporting safety initiatives.
6. Communicate with loading/unloading areas, maintain safe speeds, and observe traffic controls.
7. Conduct pre-trip safety inspections, report unsafe conditions, near misses, and safety concerns.
8. Perform routine maintenance and assist with site housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience operating haul trucks or heavy equipment.
• Excellent driving record and 5+ years heavy equipment experience.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, machinery maintenance, and weighing procedures.
• Current/DOT valid card.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, reliable transportation, and willingness to work second shift (1pm-11pm) and occasional Saturdays.
