Job description

Local CDL A or Local CDL B Driver w/ Knuckleboom or w/ Crane Certification

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, known as a Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator certification, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Drivers operate within a maximum of a 200-mile radius from their home branch, with all deliveries originating and ending at the branch, ensuring no overnight stays.

3. Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations
4. Lead job site safety by operating all equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
5. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
6. Validate and confirm inventory loaded, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and verify addresses and routing information
7. Conduct a job site inspection, document any existing damages, and note the location of utilities and features such as power lines, sprinklers, etc.
8. Capture photographs of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

1. Valid Class A or Class B CDL
2. Crane operation certification (preferred)
3. Certifications for telescopic boom, boom truck, or articulating boom crane (preferred)
4. Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each, with prior forklift or Moffett experience a plus
5. Clean driving record, with no recent hit & runs, DWI, or DUI convictions within the last three years; severe violations or multiple accidents in the past year reviewed case by case
6. Prior experience in distribution and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations is a plus
7. Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English
8. Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
9. Pass a drug test and hold a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the last 12 months
10. U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S., passing E-Verify
