Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Surface Haul Truck Driver for the Kansas Portable Team based out of Leavenworth, KS, with travel to nearby locations including Onaga, St. Mary’s and Soldier, KS to produce aggregate.

Hours are 7am-5pm, Monday through Friday, with pay ranging from $23 to $26 per hour. The role involves operating heavy equipment such as haul trucks, motor graders, water trucks, loaders and cranes, along with safety compliance and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience is a plus but will train the right candidate.
• Bi-Lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader and crane.
• Assist in plant repairs and clean-up.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspection on equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment; report repairs.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment.
• Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations.
• Perform duties with minimum supervision.

Surface Haul Truck Driver

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Kansas Portable Team. This position will have the opportunity to operate a variety of heavy equipment to include haul truck, motor grader, water truck, etc. to bring raw materials from pit to plant in a safe and efficient manner at maximum loading capacity.

This position will be based out of Leavenworth, KS but will travel around to locations near Onaga, St. Mary’s and Soldier Kansas to produce aggregate at those locations.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to or willing to learn to operate all other mobile equipment, including: haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader and crane
• Assist in plant repairs and clean-up
• Perform pre-shift safety inspection on equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment. Report needed repairs to shop personnel
• Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment
• Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Minimum Education And Experience

• Must have a vaild driver's license

Working Conditions

Larger equipment is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments that may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
