Hours: 6:30am - 6:30pm -- 55-60 hour work weeks

Pay: $23-$26 an hour

Surface Haul Truck Driver

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Surface Heavy Equipment Operator at Auxvasse South Quarry in Auxvasse, MO. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Essential Functions

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairsPerform duties with minimum supervision

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.

Preferred Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred
• 1 + years related experience
• Valid US driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations
• Effective verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching with hands and arms, and handling materials
