Cobb-Vantress, Inc. (Cobb) is hiring at the Kentucky Hatchery in Monticello for a position covering Processing, Sanitation and Egg Room areas.

The role requires flexibility across duties to support production needs, with a starting pay of $17.00 per hour plus shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends. Applicants must have at least 12 months of continuous work history with one employer and minimal gaps; residency in the United States is required for interviews.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days; no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Processing: Grades approximately 60,000 chicks; operate robot to vaccinate and beak trim about 2,000 chicks per hour; perform toe trim on about 8,000 chicks for ID as needed.
• Egg Trayer: read/write basic math to assist Shipping Clerk with international egg shipments; transfer up to 100+ cases; assist with domestic shipments.
• Sanitation: wash and sanitize hundreds of buggies and egg flats; clean hatchery and related rooms with pressure washers; maintain clean work areas.
• Relocation/Equal Opportunity: comply with biosecurity and safety guidelines; position requires adherence to PPE; no relocation assistance.
