Pilgrim’s in Lufkin, Texas is hiring for Hatchery Labor to handle eggs, monitor incubation, assist with chick hatching, and perform quality checks to uphold biosecurity and animal welfare standards. You will operate specialized equipment, keep work areas clean, record data on egg counts and hatch rates, and help with vaccination and transport prep.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Poultry or food industry experience a plus.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Handle and set eggs in incubators according to procedures.
• Monitor incubation conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation).
• Assist with chick hatching and transfer, ensuring proper care.
• Perform quality checks on eggs and chicks to maintain biosecurity.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas per guidelines.
• Follow biosecurity and animal welfare protocols to protect flock health.
• Record data on egg counts, hatch rates, and chick quality.
• Assist with chick vaccination and transport preparation.
