Job summary

Aviagen is seeking candidates for positions on our Hatchery Service Team in Pageland, South Carolina. You will check and grade chicks to the quality standard, build boxes for transport, and label orders while maintaining biosecurity and PPE protocols.

The role requires physical work, reliable attendance, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with teamwork. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, and you should be self-motivated to work unsupervised

Qualifications

Ability to handle moderate to physical work including pushing/pulling trolleys up to 50 lbs.
Basic Math skills for everyday tasks.
Must stand for extended periods and perform repetitive work.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Reliable attendance and willingness to put forth effort.
Ability to work well in a team with good communication.
Familiarity with simple Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

Check & grade chicks to the quality standard.
Build boxes for chick transport and complete labels to distinguish orders.
Perform manual handling when transferring eggs to other trolleys and hatchery areas.
Ensure equipment is in good working order and stocks of consumables are sufficient.
Follow biosecurity, PPE, cleaning and hygiene standards in all tasks.
