Job summary

Aviagen Turkeys Inc. is seeking Hatch Crew personnel to support daily hatchery operations. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, sanitizing equipment, transferring eggs, and performing general duties within the hatchery.

Position requires ability to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and follow SOPs while ensuring welfare standards for day-old chicks. Training will cover safety, procedures, and routine duties across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to complete repetitive work and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
• Must be able to perform tasks with limited supervision.
• Proven reliability in work attendance and willingness to give best effort.
• Must have own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the hatchery building.
• Clean/sanitize machines, tables, floors, ceilings, etc.
• Transfer eggs from setters to hatchers.
• Make boxes and perform general duties.
• Handle day-old chicks in line with welfare standards and SOPs.
• Meet operating procedures as outlined by policy.
• Prepare newly hatched chicks for sexing and farm delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
