Job summary

Cobb Blairsville Hatchery in Blairsville, GA is seeking a worker to operate the processing line for chickens, including grading, vaccinating, and toe trimming. The shift starts at 4:45 a.m. and typically runs about 35 hours per week with schedule adjustments based on production needs.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends. Benefits from day 1 include health, dental, vision, disability, telehealth, life insurance, 401(k), education

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no gaps >6 months in past 36 months.
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Process chickens including grade, vaccinate (operate robot), weigh chicks and toe trim.
• Operate box washer.
• Operate macerator.
• Operate a high pressure and regular water hose, maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers, make and cut vitamin gel, maintain a clean and organized work area.
