Job summary

Pilgrim's Pride's Elijay Complex in Ellijay, GA is seeking a Hatchery Supervisor to oversee chick delivery, egg procurement, and hatchery operations. The role involves supervising drivers, coordinating production schedules, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least three years in hatchery or live production, plus supervisory experience, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP is preferred, with on-call duties including nights

Qualifications

Three years hatchery or live production experience required.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; good people skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise driver fleet, including chick delivery and egg pickup; maintain related records and GPS reviews.
Supervise egg procurement and set/set schedule.
Supervise inovojection process and transfer crews.
Assist supervision of production and maintenance with production supervisor and maintenance AA partner.
Serve as backup to SAP Buy It / SAP Grow It / Timekeeping.
Maintain a safe work environment; conduct safety training and weekly safety inspections.
Supervise personnel including hiring, scheduling, disciplinary procedures, and evaluations.
Supervise other hatchery departments as needed during vacations or leaves.
Promote continuous improvement.
Other duties as assigned by plant manager.
