Job summary

Aviagen Turkeys Inc. is seeking individuals for Hatch Crew positions at our hatchery.

Responsibilities include keeping the hatchery clean, sanitizing equipment, transferring eggs from setters to hatchers, making boxes, and supporting poult prep and shipment processes. In this role you will handle day-old chicks according to welfare standards and SOPs, follow company procedures, and assist with preparing chicks for sexing and delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete repetitive work and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
• Must be able to perform tasks with limited supervision.
• Proven reliability in work attendance and willingness to give best effort.
• Must have own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleanliness throughout the hatchery building
• Clean/sanitize machines, tables, floors, ceilings, etc.
• Transfer eggs from setters to hatchers
• Make boxes and other general duties
• Handle day-old chicks in accordance with welfare standards and SOPs
• Meet all of the operating procedures as outlined by company policy
• Prepare newly hatched chicks for sexing and farm delivery
• Perform other duties as assigned
