Job summary

Aviagen is seeking staff for Hatch Crew to support egg transfer from setters to hatchers and maintain clean, sanitary hatchery facilities. You will also prepare boxes, handle day-old chicks, and perform general duties while following welfare standards and SOPs.

Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for long periods, and operate with limited supervision. Reliability in attendance is essential, and owning reliable transportation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Able to perform repetitive work and stand for extended periods.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Capable of performing tasks with limited supervision.
• Proven reliability in attendance and effort.
• Must have own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Keep hatchery areas clean and sanitized (machines, tables, floors, ceilings).
• Transfer eggs from setters to hatchers.
• Assemble boxes and perform general duties as needed.
• Handle day-old chicks following welfare standards and SOPs.
• Comply with company policies and operating procedures.
