Job summary

Pilgrim’s in the United States is hiring for a 3rd shift egg handler. Compensation includes a base pay of $19.10 per hour plus a $2.00 night shift differential, with hours from 4:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Responsibilities include preventing damage to eggs, selecting correct eggs for the day, keeping production flowing, feeding the Embrex machine with egg flats, stacking hatcher trays, and moving flats as needed. The role requires good hand-eye coordination and a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prevent damaging eggs and pull eggs for the assigned day.
• Maintain production flow and operate Embrex egg handling tasks.
• Feed egg flats to the Embrex machine without damaging eggs or equipment.
• Stack hatcher trays with the production flow.
• Move baskets and manage empty flats as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hours: 4:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (hours subject to change)
Key Responsibilities and Account abilities include but are not limited to:

• Prevents damaging any eggs
• Pulling correct eggs for the assigned day
• Keeping up with the flow of production
• Feeding the Embrex machine egg flats, and ensure that neither eggs nor equipment is damaged
• Stacking hatcher trays with the flow of production
• Remove empty flats and add buggy to empty egg
• Moving Hatcher basket trolly to the correct assigned hatcher
• Ensure the equipment is running correctly
• Any other duties as assigned

Work Environment/ Physical Demands

• Ability to lift overhead of up to 30 pounds
• Ability to work in a heated environment, temperatures ranging from 80F to 100F
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive motion
• Ability to work overtime as assigned
• Frequently: lifting, turning, twisting, bending, squatting, pushing, grasping, kneeling, reach forward, pulling stretching.

Knowledge, skills, and Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
