Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Georgia seeks an Egg Hatchery Worker to handle eggs from incubators and feed them into the Embrex Machine. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks safely in a warm, wet environment.

Essential duties include operating the Embrex Machine, moving dollies, cleaning equipment, and maintaining clean work areas while supporting daily hatchery production.

Qualifications

• Embex Certification required.
• Able to follow instructions and operate automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pull eggs from incubators onto Embrex Machine.
• Stack down from machine to hatcher dollies.
• Clean Setter floors, fan blades, etc.
• Back up egg setters.
• Clean embrex machine, hatcher halls, and fog daily.
• Discard eggs from egg remover into vacuum system daily.
• Wash boxes Sunday morning.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pull eggs from incubators onto Embrex Machine
• Stack down from machine to hatcher dollies
• Clean Setter floors, fan blades, etc.
• Back up egg setters
• Clean embrex machine, hatcher halls, and fog daily
• Discard eggs from egg remover into vacuum system daily
• Wash boxes Sunday morning.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by hatchery manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good Hand-Eye Coordination
• Able to read numbers and colors

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Embex Certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Continuously: standing, walking
• Frequently: lifting, turning, twisting, bending, squatting, pushing, grasping, kneeling, reach forward, pulling stretching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
