Job summary

Foster Farms in Oregon City is seeking a production support worker to operate egg processing equipment and manage rack handling. The role involves physically demanding tasks on a fast-paced line with safety as a priority.

You will work on egg incubator and hatcher operations, perform cleaning with high pressure equipment, and assist with palletizing and wrapping pallets. A strong safety mindset and the ability to follow procedures are essential.

Qualifications

  • Ability to move heavy racks (up to 1600 lb) with assistance.
  • Ability to mix cleaning solutions and vaccine solutions.
  • Demonstrated safety judgment to protect others.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Ability to adjust Embrex and servicing equipment.
  • Ability to lift 65 pounds repeatedly and stack up to 7 feet.
  • Pallet jack certification required.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Remove egg trays from incubator racks and insert them into egg picking machine.
  • Remove hatcher baskets from transfer machine and stack them onto hatcher racks.
  • Transport hatcher and incubator racks to and from corresponding machines.
  • Remove incubator racks from incubators.
  • Place hatcher racks into hatchers accurately.
  • Wash empty incubator racks and egg flats using high pressure washing equipment.
  • Stack and wrap pallets of egg flats with stretch wrap.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Pay Rate

$16.30 per hour. Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am.

  • Ability to make minor adjustments and repairs to Embrex and servicing equipment.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 65 pounds and stack up to height of 7 feet.
  • Must become pallet jack certified.
  • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
