Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in forestry or a related field; 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of degree and experience.
• Strong negotiation skills and a commitment to safety.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to collaborate across teams.
• Familiarity with cost, volume, and quality data for performance evaluation.
• Ability to apply conversion factors between alternate scales and weights.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental, labor, and transportation laws related to harvesting operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Verify harvest plans on-site and negotiate harvesting contracts.
• Supervise harvest operations and ensure contractor safety compliance.
• Merchandize and optimize product utilization; maintain timely system updates.
• Monitor contract performance and address noncompliance or issues.
• Oversee logging road maintenance and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with Wood Flow, Marketing, Silviculture, Planning, and Leaders to meet annual plans.
