Job summary

Weyerhaeuser in Ruston, LA, seeks a Region Manager to lead the NLAR region spanning parts of North Louisiana and Southern Arkansas with ~50% travel. Qualifications

  • BS in Forestry or related degree with 10 years of managerial experience or equivalent.
  • Ability to budget, plan and manage large projects and initiatives.
  • Proven experience in situational management, coaching/counseling, and team building.
  • Excellent communication, time management and persuasion skills.
  • Proficiency with GIS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the NLAR region and align with regional strategic vision.
  • Maximize regional value through financial performance and operations.
  • Develop a high‑performing regional team with accountability and a strong culture.
  • Monitor production targets for contract operations to meet the plan.

DescriptionThis is a leadership position in the North Louisiana/Arkansas (NLAR) Region within Weyerhaeuser’s Southern Timberlands Business. The position is based in Ruston, LA, but requires coverage of the entire region spanning parts of North Louisiana and Southern Arkansas and will include business travel of approximately 50%. The Region Manager is responsible for leading the NLAR region, comprised of approximately 2 million acres, and, as part of the leadership team, for participating in the formation and execution of the strategic vision for the region that is aligned with the Company direction. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.Benefits: When you join our team, you and your dependents will be offered coverage under our comprehensive employee benefits plan, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance.
