HARVEST 1ST SHIFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Location: Souderton, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities:

Maintains systems and equipment, restores, repairs, rebuilds, or replaces faulty or inoperative components and parts; supervises staff; makes on-the-spot decisions.

Duties:

1. Maintenance scheduling, coaching, planning, communicating job expectations, enforcing policies and procedures.
2. Meet maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity improvements, and resolving problems.
3. Evaluate functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by consulting with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.
4. Implement corrective actions.
5. Maintain function and reliability of facility systems, operating and testing systems and equipment; restore, repair, rebuild, or replace faulty components and parts.
6. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
7. Manage maintenance department costs within budgetary guidelines.
8. Perform all other duties assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent and Plant Engineer.
9. Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goals.
10. Participate in the plant HAZMAT team.
11. Schedule and direct workforce projects, assign tasks to appropriate personnel, and track attendance in the Kronos system, correcting errors as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Supervision, staffing, strategic planning, troubleshooting, job knowledge, computer skills, and ability to learn SAP system.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, flexible hours, and some weekends.
• Ability to perform general mathematical calculations.
• Strong leadership and critical thinking skills; ability to manage conflict.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Knowledge of HACCP.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication.
