HARVEST 1ST SHIFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
Location: Souderton, Pennsylvania
Responsibilities: Maintains systems and equipment, restores, repairs, rebuilds or replaces faulty or inoperative components and parts; supervises staff, makes on-the-spot decisions.
Duties:
- Maintenance scheduling, coaching, planning, communicating job expectations, enforcing policies and procedures.
- Contributes to maintenance operational standards by providing information for strategic planning and reviews; implements production, productivity improvements, and problem resolution.
- Evaluates the functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment by consulting with operating departments; identifies problems and requirements.
- Implements corrective actions.
- Ensures the functionality and reliability of facility systems, operating and testing systems and equipment; restores, repairs, rebuilds, or replaces faulty components and parts.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and procedures.
- Manages maintenance department costs within budgetary guidelines.
- Performs all other duties assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent and Plant Engineer.
- Promotes employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goals.
- Participates in the plant HAZMAT team.
- Schedules and directs workforce projects, assigns tasks to appropriate personnel, tracks attendance in the Kronos system, and corrects errors when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Supervision, staffing, strategic planning, troubleshooting, job knowledge, computer skills, and ability to learn SAP system.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, with flexible hours and some weekends.
- Ability to perform general mathematical calculations.
- Strong leadership and critical thinking skills; capable of managing conflicts.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of HACCP.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication.
