Job summary

America's Heartland Packing is seeking a training specialist responsible for on-the-job training and side-by-side coaching for new hires and transferring employees in designated areas. The role includes educating staff on equipment, safety procedures, and reporting protocols.

You will develop training materials, monitor safety and quality, maintain records, and collaborate with supervisors to identify training needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• 3-6 months prior training experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Demonstrated desire, ability and potential to train and motivate assigned employees to improve job performance and production capacity.
• Demonstrated knife experience (usage and sharpening).
• Knowledge of jobs in designated training area(s).
• Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Spanish communication ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• On-the-job training including side-by-side training for new hires and retraining existing employees.
• Provide feedback to supervisory staff and coordinators.
• Coordinate and conduct daily stretches.
• Educate hires on reporting lost or damaged equipment and following procedures.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment and PPE.
• Develop and apply standardized training approaches and materials.
• Monitor new hires’ safety, quality, and work practices.
• Maintain training records and documentation.
• Attend meetings to identify training needs and gaps.
