Job summary

Foothill Packing Inc. is hiring for Field Workers: Tender Leaf Harvest, Field Forklift Driver, and Agricultural Equipment Operators in Arizona. You will inspect and sort tender leaf, load bins, and move produce along a harvest belt in the field.

Responsibilities include spotting foreign material, stacking and palletizing bins, operating tractors, harvest machines, and forklifts under a field supervisor. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in muddy, dusty conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 month experience with produce, including harvest work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and use hand tools.
• Must not be color blind to distinguish crop colors.
• Must be able to work in conditions where skin and clothing become heavily soiled with mud, water, grease, etc.

Responsibilities

• Spot check, sort, stack, fill and load tender leaf in the field.
• Operate tractors, harvesters and field forklift equipment.
• Load and unload bins and pallets from trailers.
• Set up, maintain and inspect equipment at start of the day.
• Move harvest equipment between locations and prepare for field operation.
• Perform safety monitoring when equipment is in use in the field.
