Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. (HMFP) invites applications for a primary care physician role delivering comprehensive care to patients in BILHPC practices.

The position emphasizes diagnosis, preventive care, and care coordination, with a focus on internal medicine or family medicine and possible academic appointment. Reporting to HMFP and working within a physician-led network, you will participate in team-based care, perform histories and exams,

Responsibilities

• Obtain health history and perform physical examinations utilizing medical instruments and equipment.
• Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on a patient’s condition.
• Analyze reports and findings of tests and examinations, and diagnose condition of patient.
• Accurately diagnose and treat a wide-range of acute and chronic diseases and injuries
• Administer or prescribe treatments and medications appropriate to a patient’s diagnosis.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal statutes and professional practice guidelines.
• Promote health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
• Prepare records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures.
• Counsel patient and, if appropriate, family on diagnosis and treatment plans to ensure understanding and follow-through.
• Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings.
• Make referrals to specialists when appropriate for a patient’s condition and treatment.
• Support BIDHC culture and promote team-based delivery of patient care.
