Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Harness Technician for the Greater San Jose area to fabricate, assemble, and integrate high-quality wire harness and electro-mechanical assemblies. You will read drawings, GD&T, and related documentation to ensure high reliability.

Responsibilities include following procedures, using precision tools, and performing electrical checkouts with custom and off-the-shelf equipment in a production environment. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a production assembly environment.
• Strong background in wire harnessing and electro-mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings and GD&T.
• Experience in high-reliability environments such as aerospace, aviation, or military.

Insight Global is looking for a Harness Technician in the Greater San Jose area. This individual will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and integrating high quality, high reliability wire harness and electro-mechanical assemblies. You will read, interpret, and work from drawings as well as controlled documentation and processes like: cable harnesses including wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings & GD&T and assembly procedures and work instructions & schematics, engineering drawings and parts list. Additional duties include: Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions, use various mechanical and precision calibrated tools and equipment and perform electrical checkouts using custom setups combined with off the shelf equipment/components

Skills and Requirements

2-4 years of experience in a production assembly environmentStrong background in wire harnessing and electro-mechanical assemblyAbility to read and integrate wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings and GD&TExperience inspecting wire harness and cable assembliesExperience in the aerospace industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environmentKnowledge of electrical and mechanical systemsSkill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterityAbility to use precision measuring instruments
