Job summary

Innovative Aerosystems in Exton, PA is seeking a detail-oriented Harness Builder to assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and related electrical components for aerospace and defense applications.

This role requires reading engineering drawings, using hand tools, and operating automated equipment while maintaining quality with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in harness assembly, cable assembly, electronics manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in a quality-controlled manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to use manual and powered hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions and BOMs.
• Assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies and related electrical components.
• Perform wire stripping, crimping, routing, termination and lacing per IPC/WHMA-A-620.
• Inspect assemblies to ensure quality requirements.
• Set up and operate automated assembly equipment.
• Use manual and powered hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain production and quality documentation.
• Support continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency initiatives.

Innovative Aerosystems is seeking a detail-oriented Harness Builder to support the assembly of high-quality wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical systems used in advanced aerospace and defense applications. This position offers the opportunity to work with precision components in a quality-focused manufacturing environment alongside a skilled and collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and Bills of Material (BOMs)
• Assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and related electrical components
• Perform wire stripping, crimping, routing, termination, and lacing in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
• Inspect assemblies to ensure compliance with quality requirements
• Set up and operate automated assembly equipment
• Utilize manual and powered hand tools safely and effectively
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Support continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency initiatives

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
• IPC-A-610 certification
• Experience working with automated assembly equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work with small, detailed components
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday
• Ability to pass a vision examination
