Job summary

Synechron in Charlotte is seeking a Harness Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using Harness CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes. You will build templates, automate deployments, and enforce quality gates across environments.

The role partners with Development, QA, DevOps, Security, and Release Management to ensure secure, auditable deployments. You will manage secrets, DCMS evidence hooks, and governance workflows while improving deployment

Qualifications

• Hands-on Harness CI/CD implementation across enterprise apps.
• Experience with pipelines creation, orchestration, and environments definitions.
• Ability to design deployment strategies and rollback mechanisms.
• Familiarity with automated quality gates and compliance controls.
• Experience integrating GitHub Actions with Harness pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Harness CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.
• Create and manage reusable Harness templates, workflows, and deployment strategies.
• Implement automated build, test, and deployment processes across multiple environments.
• Configure and enforce automated quality gates to ensure code quality, security, and compliance requirements are met.
• Integrate GitHub Actions with Harness pipelines to support end-to-end software delivery.
• Build and manage containerized deployment solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configure deployment approvals, governance policies, and change management workflows.
• Manage secrets, credentials, and sensitive configuration using Harness Secret Manager or external vault solutions.
• Implement and maintain DCMS evidence hooks to capture deployment evidence, audit logs, approvals, and compliance artifacts.
• Monitor pipeline performance and optimize deployment reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot CI/CD failures, deployment issues, and infrastructure-related challenges.
• Partner with Development, QA, DevOps, Security, and Release Management teams to improve software delivery processes.
