Job summary

The City of New York's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks a full-time Harm Reduction Contracts Coordinator to manage contract monitoring and reporting for BADUPCT, supporting syringe programs, DIC and OSL initiatives, and funding coordination with external partners.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus experience in community work or grants administration, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a public health setting in New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and experience in community work or grants.
• Experience with contract monitoring, reporting, and funding coordination.
• Knowledge of harm reduction and public health strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records and prepare reports from contract monitoring activities using standard formats.
• Assist planning and implementation of routine contract monitoring and negotiations.
• Prepare planning documents to maintain funding for providers in the Harm Reduction Unit.
• Support Drop-In Center programming alignment with funding requirements.
• Support Syringe Litter programming alignment with funding requirements.
• Collaborate with other Coordinators to support unit-wide initiatives.
• Support Special Projects Coordinator as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
