Job summary

Pinnacle Solutions, an Akima company, seeks a mid-level Control Account Manager to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance for DoD hardware and software simulation projects. You will work across internal teams and subcontractors to ensure EVMS compliance, data integrity, and successful program execution.

The role emphasizes earned value management, risk mitigation, and collaboration with government customers, including DCMA, in a hybrid work setting in Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Control Account Manager or similar role supporting EVMS-based programs.
• Experience managing subcontractors and analyzing subcontractor EV data.
• Technical background to understand hardware and software training devices, simulation systems, and integration workflows.
• Experience participating in IBRs, DCMA surveillance reviews, or other compliance activities.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external/customer-facing interactions.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, project management, or related technical field.
• Must be a US Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee cost, schedule, and technical performance for major subcontractors and control accounts.
• Review subcontractor schedules, budgets, deliverables, integration milestones, and EV data for EVMS compliance.
• Ensure scope, schedule, and budget alignment across hardware and software simulation integration activities.
• Perform earned value measurement (EV), cost and schedule variance analysis, and develop corrective action plans.
• Maintain accurate ETC and EAC using disciplined EVMS practices.
• Develop, maintain, and update CAPs, work packages, planning packages, and related documentation.
• Support integration planning and risk mitigation across hardware/software boundaries.
• Participate in technical reviews related to trainers, simulations, and device readiness events.
• Attend customer meetings including DCMA reviews, surveillance activities, and EVM compliance assessments.
