Job summary

Critical Loop, Inc. is hiring a Test Engineer for an on-site role in Long Beach, CA. You will build and own the hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) infrastructure, the production unit test process, and canary fleet procedures that shape our reliability narrative.

This hands-on position requires leading the test engineering function and collaborating with Operations and Product Development teams. You will design HITL testbeds, stand up production tests, and drive root-cause analysis to close issues

Qualifications

Hands‑on experience designing, building, and operating hardware test setups.
Background in power electronics or high‑voltage systems.
Experience authoring test procedures and standards.
Strong root cause analysis skills to resolve complex hardware issues end‑to‑end.
Willingness to engage with software, including code reading and scripting.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain HITL testbeds for the product line (CLB5100, CLB5020, etc.).
Develop and operate production unit test processes to catch issues before reaching customers.
Stand up canary fleet processes, tooling, and standards.
Author and maintain test procedures and standards as source of truth for hardware validation.
Analyze test data and translate findings into actionable improvements for hardware.
