Mega Building Supply on the Upper West Side is seeking a store manager who takes ownership of the floor, the staff, and the numbers—not merely keeping the lights on. You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure strong customer experiences from entry to checkout, and build lasting relationships with contractors and superintendents.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in hardware or trades-adjacent retail, with a proven ability to manage floor staff, upsell, and maintain inventory integrity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing or supervising in a hardware, building supply, or trades-adjacent retail environment.
• Understanding the contractor and building superintendent customer — how they think, what they need, and how to earn their repeat business.
• You’ve managed floor staff and aren’t afraid of a direct conversation.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day floor operations and staff supervision.
• Customer experience from walk-in to checkout.
• Driving sales — upselling, product knowledge, building contractor and building superintendent relationships.
• Receiving, inventory integrity, and merchandising standards.
• Opening and closing responsibilities.
