Job summary

Motive is hiring a Security Engineer, Hardware Security to join our Product Security Team and partner with Engineering and Hardware to ship secure devices. You will design and implement secure-by-default components across firmware, boot processes, and device lifecycles, enabling safer hardware products.

You will lead design reviews, threat modeling, and security testing for product systems, shaping hardware security across IoT and cloud infrastructure and driving security across the entire

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Hardware Security with secure-by-design patterns.
• 5+ years collaborating with product teams on security requirements.
• 5+ years hands-on development in Python and C/C++.
• Strong knowledge of root of trust, secure boot, attestation, key protection.
• Experience in hardware/system architecture security controls.

Responsibilities

• Build hardware security baseline across Motive devices including boot chain and firmware.
• Drive relationships with hardware engineering to prioritize and remediate findings.
• Assess hardware security risks across lifecycle: design, manufacture, deploy, update, decommission.
• Lead architecture reviews, threat modeling, and security testing for product systems.
• Define security requirements for hardware platforms, embedded systems, and lifecycle controls.
• Drive end-to-end security for device hardware across IoT and cloud security.
