Job summary

Acer is seeking a Repair Technician in our Texas depot to diagnose, repair, and assemble computer hardware including notebooks, Chromebooks, desktops, and monitors. On-site, day shift, five days a week, with overtime potential and strict attendance.

You will disassemble/reassemble, perform OS reloads, test and troubleshoot complex issues, document quality, and maintain safety and tool handling standards. Three to five years of hands-on hardware repair experience and strong team collaboration are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years hands-on computer repair experience preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision disassembly and reassembly of computers and related peripherals.
• Execute hardware repairs, including operating system (OS) reloads.
• Complete repairs using CSS application processes.
• Efficiently test, troubleshoot, and diagnose complex hardware and software issues.
• Proactively identify, document and report quality issues.
• Maintain strong fine motor skills and dexterity to safely use hand tools and repair equipment.
• Meet high and consistent daily volume targets (throughput) on all assigned repairs.
• Apply strict attention to detail to ensure low defect rates.
• Demonstrate regular, punctual, and satisfactory attendance.
