Job summary

Investigo seeks a seasoned Hardware Prototype & Test Engineer to lead testing and validation of innovative hardware products in a dynamic team. You will build physical prototypes, perform bring-up, and run stress tests with a focus on actionable data insights.

The role requires hands-on prototyping, Python or C#/WPF GUI development, and experience with embedded hardware. Expect collaboration across engineering and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware/software test experience with integrated systems.
• Experience shipping high-volume consumer products and supporting manufacturing in Asia; willingness to travel to China.
• Hands-on prototyping of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks, ProEngineer).
• Experience with test automation toolchains and GUI development.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and validation of hardware products.
• Build physical prototypes and perform hardware bring-up.
• Run experiments to stress-test products and sensors; manage test data.
• Design and run experiments; develop and maintain automated test apps and GUIs.
• Prototype and test complex electromechanical systems; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop test systems using embedded hardware (e.g., Arduino) and Python.
• Design UIs for test monitoring and perform root cause analysis of failures.
