Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Hardware Lab Lead for Andover, MA, to manage engineering lab programs and day-to-day operations with emphasis on safety, security, and compliance. This onsite role covers multiple labs on site and requires effective collaboration with customers, employees, and senior leaders.

You will oversee lab procedures, environment health safety, property management, and equipment servicing, while ensuring adherence to export controls and confidential material handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years in an engineering lab environment overseeing safety, security, compliance, and property management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) management and policy guidance for lab users.
• Coordinate Environmental Health Safety and Sustainment activities.
• Manage property, metrology, service contracts, and repairs for lab equipment.
• Perform cost analyses and ensure tasks stay within approved budgets.
• Process lab purchases via SAP, SRM, and Vallen with SCM support.
• Oversee audit/assessment prep and corrective action planning.
• Safeguard classified/proprietary material and comply with EAR requirements.
• Develop and implement communication plans for engineering customers.
• Influence stakeholders on policies and procedures at operational level.
• Work autonomously with limited oversight and provide problem-solving input.
• Travel locally may be required; some physical activity in lab environment.
