Job summary

Base Power Company is seeking a Hardware Integration Engineer to design and integrate residential energy storage hardware, including BMS, inverters, and MID systems. You will build safe, scalable hardware and collaborate with software teams.

Required BS/MS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years hardware development in energy storage or power systems; PE license is a plus. Startup environment experience is welcomed; in-person work is expected.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 3+ years hardware development experience.
• Experience with energy storage or power systems preferred.
• PE license is a plus and highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate battery management systems (BMS), inverters, and MID hardware for residential energy applications.
• Develop and maintain system architecture and electrical schematics for multi-component energy systems.
• Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of integrated hardware systems.
• Partner with software teams to ensure seamless hardware/software integration and control algorithm development.
• Support regulatory compliance and product certification processes to meet industry standards.
