Job summary

HP is seeking a Hardware Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and integrate firmware with hardware across complex products. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and ODM partners to advance firmware architecture, silicon enablement, and system‑level design.

The role emphasizes execution, problem‑solving, and subsystem ownership, with opportunity to grow through increasing technical ownership and mentoring others on the team.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on firmware and embedded systems development experience.
• Understanding of hardware–firmware interaction and board‑level design.
• Exposure to system architecture concepts and silicon enablement.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills; ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to hardware and firmware design and development activities with coding, debugging, testing, and integration.
• Implement firmware features and ensure proper interaction with hardware, BIOS and system software.
• Support platform bring‑up, validation, and issue triage during development and sustaining phases.
• Assist senior engineers in evaluating new silicon components and design approaches.
• Collaborate across teams and external partners to support execution and integration.
• Document designs, interfaces, bring‑up guides, and firmware configuration details.
