Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Platform Firmware Architect to lead design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable firmware solutions. You will collaborate with software, system administration, and management teams to deliver robust platforms that integrate with existing infrastructure and provide meaningful value to end users.

Responsibilities include leading multiple project teams through design, coding, testing and integration, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CS or related discipline.
• 7–10 years in systems engineering or firmware.
• Experience with BIOS/UEFI and embedded systems.
• Experience collaborating with ODMs on hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of OS and system tools.
• Monitors and tests application performance; works with developers on fixes.
• Optimizes software systems for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency.
• Gathers system engineering requirements with engineering groups and stakeholders.
• Leads multiple project teams through design, coding, testing and integration.
• Manages relationships with internal and outsourced development partners.
• Reviews designs for compliance with standards; provides feedback to improve quality.
• Provides domain expertise and software systems leadership across projects.
• Drives integration of new technologies into projects.
• Mentors less-experienced staff.
