BAE Systems is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer for a junior-level position. The candidate will work in a rapid development environment within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on design, development, evaluation, verification, and in-service support for the Navy's Aircraft Launch and Recovery system. Travel may be required for system installation, operation verification, testing, and certification. We seek a creative thinker to help our team innovate and advance.
The role primarily involves FPGA-based hardware work but also offers opportunities to learn systems engineering fundamentals essential for Navy projects. The workplace supports developing advanced capabilities in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and quality processes vital to defense projects. Responsibilities include FPGA design from concept to production, engineering process development, documentation, modular system solutions, testing, and validation. Mentoring from experienced engineers will be provided, fostering collaboration within the team.
This position is located in Southern Maryland, near the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, within the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor.
Limited relocation assistance may be available. Applicants should reside in or be willing to relocate to St. Mary's County, Maryland or nearby areas.
Salary range: $77,809 - $132,275, based on market and candidate qualifications.
