WHOOP is seeking a Hardware Engineering Project Manager II to drive the execution of hardware initiatives that enhance member experience and product performance. This role will lead cross‑functional projects spanning optimization efforts, yield improvements, and full electromechanical redesigns.

The position is based in the WHOOP office in Boston, MA, with collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, firmware, and supply chain teams to scale innovation from concept to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience in hardware product development.
• 3+ years of consumer electronics product development experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional hardware projects from development through launch.
• Understanding of component development cycles, lead times, and sourcing.
• Experience communicating with Engineering, Manufacturing and external partners (domestic and international).
• Innovative, adaptable to fast-paced changes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware engineering projects from kickoff through launch, focusing on performance, cost, and quality improvements
• Create and manage detailed project plans aligned with WHOOP goals, balancing timelines, resources, and risk mitigation
• Coordinate engineering builds and iterative development activities with internal and external manufacturing partners
• Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and communication, ensuring timely decision‑making and alignment
• Proactively identify and manage project risks and dependencies, driving resolution of technical and organizational blockers
• Contribute to the ongoing refinement of WHOOP’s Continuous Improvement Engineering process to enhance project execution and reliability
