Job summary

RTX in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, seeks an Hardware Engineering Manager to lead Electrical, Mechanical, and Test Engineers in design, integration, and verification of high‑reliability hardware. You will steer PCB development, RF/analog/digital circuits, and mechanical packaging while guiding test equipment strategies and program planning.

This hybrid role requires leadership experience, security clearance eligibility, and strong English communication; travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required by program needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team of Electrical, Mechanical, and Test Engineers performing design, analysis, integration, verification, and sustainment activities.
• Oversee development of PCB hardware, including schematic capture, layout oversight, component selection, signal and power integrity, and design reviews.
• Provide technical direction for RF, analog, and digital circuit design activities, hardware bring‑up, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Oversee development of mechanical components, enclosures, packaging, thermal solutions, and hardware‑mechanical integration activities.
• Manage development of test equipment, automated test solutions, and validation strategies supporting verification and manufacturing.
• Drive predictable program performance, resource planning, cost forecasting, and schedule adherence.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including Software Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor engineering talent; conduct performance evaluations and support career development.
• Support engineering bids, proposals, BOEs, and technical planning.
• Provide clear communication and status reporting to program and engineering leadership.
• Travel up to 25% based on business needs.
